Should you become aware of a problem of neglect we would be very grateful for your assistance by contacting one of the Horse Care Units or the Trust itself. We are here to assist you.

Become a Member

As the only specifically dedicated equine welfare organization in South Africa and with determination to continue to improve on achievements to date, inevitably the Trust must rely heavily on the support and goodwill of the general and racing public. By becoming a member of the Trust not only will you receive newsletters keeping you abreast of the Trust’s progress and developments, but you you will be contributing towards prevention of equine abuse. Please assist our cause and become a member of our Trust.

Donations

Your donation, no matter how small, will play a major part in the continuance of our work. Budgets have been cut again and again and now represent the minimum. Each donation will contribute towards the prevention of abuse and neglect of horses. We appeal to general and corporate sponsors to help us. All sponsors will be properly acknowledged

My Village Supporter Card

We would like to encourage you to support the National Horse Trust in its fund raising activities by obtaining a My Village Card at no cost. Simply complete the application form (overleaf) and fax it to 0866 822 833. Alternatively, you can apply online to www.MyVillage.co.za/ordercard.aspx or e-mail customerservices@vmp.co.za or call 0860 100 445. Whenever you make a purchase at any of the many participating stores, your card is swiped, the transaction is recorded and a percentage is paid to the National Horse Trust.

The card is not a credit /debit card, but serves as a tracking card to record your transactions and allocate the correct amounts to the Trust . National retail partners include Woolworths, Engen, Club Travel, Kalahari.net, SupaQuick, Tile Africa, Dischem, Netflorist and Waltons. Many other retailers support the program on a regional and local level, with a total of 2,500 locations nationwide where the supporter card can be used.

You will receive a list of current business partners with your card. By simply becoming a card holder and using it when making purchases, you will assist the National Horse Trust in raising much needed funds to support the work of not only the Highveld Horse Care Unit, the Eastern Cape Horse Care Unit and the KwaZulu Natal Horse Care Unit, but other worthy projects that aim to improve the welfare of our beloved horses.
